Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Clearance: Public Trust clearance will be applied for upon acceptance
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000/year
Clearance:
* Public Trust clearance requires a background investigation (BI) and entry on duty (EOD) status. This must be applied for upon acceptance of employment offer. Candidates with existing or recently completed Public Trust background investigations are preferred.
Required Qualifications:
* 6+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administrator experience, including Oracle 19c on Linux platforms
* Experience with the following: managing Oracle databases in support of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), performance tuning and query optimization, troubleshooting production databases.
* Experience in implementing, maintaining, and monitoring database security, and disaster recovery planning and procedures
* Experience working in an Agile environment to effectively design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills
Responsibilities/Duties:
* Coordinate and assist with deployment, support activities, database upgrades, and application of patches.
* Develop data migration plans and scripts, work with Oracle support on issues and bug fixes, manage tablespaces, account management, performance tuning, troubleshooting databases and debugging PLSQL.
* Plan and schedule maintenance including security patching and emergency responses for database management systems and platforms in the production environment.
* Configure and install systems hardware or software and maintain server and domain security requirements.
* Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software.
* Maintain systems configuration and manage the installation and integration of system fixes, upgrades and enhancements.
* Maintains the integrity and performance of databases and ensures that data is stored securely and optimally.
* Strong database troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, especially in Oracle.
* Experience in installing, upgrading, and configuring databases servers.
* Assist in preparing and providing custom reports from the application as requested.
* Support, administer, and maintain multiple Oracle databases in support of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
* Work with developers to design and deliver optimal data-based solutions
* Work with DevSecOps engineers to support operating system (OS) level changes
* Analyze system logs to perform root-cause analysis of performance or infrastructure issues
* Analyze database performance to improve responsiveness and to right-size deployments
* Participate in design meetings with other projects and the client's technical specialists
Additional Qualifications:
* Provide support for downstream testing efforts and defect resolution
* Work with other agile
* Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies
* Experience migrating Oracle databases between platforms
* Experience managing production Oracle databases running on AWS RDS
* Experience with Red Hat Linux
* Experience with data replication using AWS DMS
* Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)
* Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite
* Software installation; Patching; Upgrades
* Oracle Access manager
* Oracle Internet Directory
* SSO integration with ICAM
* Oracle reports
* WebLogic
