Work Shift:

12hr-D Shift (6p-6a) Sparta (United States of America) As an advanced Industrial Maintenance Technician II, incumbent applies intensive and diversified knowledge in performing repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment and facility. Industrial Maintenance Technician II is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities Include:

Maintain blow mold/injection mold machines, baggers & other related equipment in optimal processing condition
* Troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits
* Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment
* Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes
* Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses
* Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps
* Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment
* Program and troubleshoot PLC systems
* Perform welding & fabrication as needed
* Solicit information and feedback from other departments toward repair and the efficient operation of machines
* Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies

  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
*
High school diploma or equivalent
* 5+ years' machine maintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry

* Proven troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

* Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required
* Basic math and computer skills
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
* Ability to work overtime
* Physical stamina and strength/able to stand

PREFERRED:

* 2+ years' experience with blow mold machines

* Extensive experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on mechanical, robotics, and control systems.

* Proficient in low voltage electrical work and panel work.

* HVAC/chiller experience is a plus; willingness to learn and take on in-house responsibilities for these systems is highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
