Finance IT Business Analyst Lead (CFIN)

The Finance IT Business Analyst Lead will play a critical role in the support and optimization of SAP Central Finance (CFIN) solutions within the organization. We ask that you have a blend of financial acumen, analytical skills, and technical expertise to help integrate financial data across several business units. You will collaborate with partners to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and provide insights that inspire strategic decision-making. An important part of the role will be to identify and implement process improvements to help improve our environment and reduce ongoing support.

While not directly managing a team, you will be responsible for working closely with our data operations team. You will lead the activities of several data analysts in the analysis and resolution of data errors in the SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) and SAP Application Interface Framework (AIF) technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between finance teams, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive business requirements, user stories, and process maps to guide the development and implementation teams.
• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to understand their needs and document functional and non-functional requirements for CFIN solutions.
• Assist in the configuration of CFIN systems to align with business requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users on CFIN systems and processes.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to elicit detailed business requirements.
• Specify and support reports and dashboards to provide insights into financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Develop test cases and conduct system testing to ensure that solutions meet specified requirements and are free of defects.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the finance function.
• Provide technical support for finance-related applications and systems, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Assist in the implementation of new finance technologies and tools, ensuring they meet business needs.
• Support SAP BODS operations around data migration, integration, and transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a finance or accounting environment.
• Experience with financial processes, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience with Central Finance (CFIN) solutions or SAP FICO.
• Experience as an SAP BODS Architect.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, or similar.
• Experience or Knowledge in mapping and interfacing data from multiple sources using flat files, ETL tools or host to host connections.
• Project management experience.
• Certification in Business Analysis or related fields is a plus.
• A thorough understanding of IT concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies.
• Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions.
