ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Directs the Clinical Education team by interviewing, hiring, evaluating performance, disciplinary process, scheduling and overseeing work, etc.
2. Schedules team to work in the field with Field Sales Organization and Marketing.
3. Assists with planning, organizing, and executing HCP consultant requests.
4. Closely collaborates and assists sales training and medical education partners.
5. Answers clinical questions from Health Care Practitioners, sales representatives, etc.
6. Works with Sales Representatives in the field to do evaluations and consultations. Provides feedback regarding the evaluation.
7. Follows up on previous product evaluations and conversions.
8. Establish relationships and builds confidence among lab staff and physicians.
9. Conducts assessment testing to ascertain the skill level and ability of those individuals being trained.
10. Conducts ongoing staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve customer related issues.
11. Collaborates with sales training in the field to provide ongoing support on the use of Merit products and to troubleshoot product related issues in the field.
12. Provides information on new technologies, procedures, and changes in the medical device industry.
13. Assists with development of product training and procedural materials.
14. Provides feedback to Platform Marketing to suggest improvements on existing products and the development of new products.
15. May make presentations at Regional and National meetings.
16. Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Education and/or business experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
* A minimum of eight years of hands-on medical experience.
* Education and clinical experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse or Endoscopy Technician preferred.
* Medical product sales and sales training experience preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze feedback in a training environment to develop strategies to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* A thorough understanding of training and development techniques.
* Good analytical skills and the ability to understand complex issues.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate large programs.
* Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
* People management experience preferred.
