JOB SUMMARY

The Willow Construction Mechanical QA Coordinator is responsible for monitoring site quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) activities within their prevue and providing directions to contractor QA/QC personnel. This role supports the development and implementation of effective QA/QC through processes, procedures, training, control measures, corrective and preventive action, assessment, documentation and audit, measurement and analysis, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Understand and implement quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures during the construction phase of projects.

  • Must be able to build and maintain a good working relationship within the contractor quality organization.

  • Responsible for the administration of the project/site quality requirements to ensure contractors compliance of project specifications and practices as they relate to quality during the construction phase in the field.

  • Coordinate with construction to ensure timely execution of quality activities.

  • Assist in the development and review Quality Assurance procedures & processes.

  • Identification and control of Deficient Conditions (Deficiency Reports, Non-Conformance Reports, and Corrective Action Reports) and process. Current AWS CWI required.

  • Follow-up on corrective actions and NCRs including verification of disposition and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Review of Contractor Quality Plans ITPs and procedures and ensure they are as per specifications.

  • Provide verification of Contractors' implementation of their construction processes and procedures through execution of the construction surveillance program.

  • Participate in contractors' kick offs to outline Quality requirements.

  • Participates in ITP witness and hold point activities as indicated in the approved ITP.

  • Review hydro test packs and participates in pre-hydro test walk-downs of process piping and/or pipelines.

  • Witness hydro tests and participate in piping reinstatement walk downs.

  • Review PMI and NDE reports, e.g., RT, UT, MT, etc.

  • Assure pipeline installation meets the requirements of SPC-PT-WL-80011, Construction of Above Grade Pipeline / Well line Specification.

  • Review contractor IQRs.

  • Participate in document reviews and turnover reviews.

  • Sign-off of turnover documentation for Client where appropriate.

  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Current AWS CWI

  • 5+ years of related work experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry

  • Prior experience working on the North Slope
