Under general supervision, incumbents for a majority of the time independently perform complex procedures requiring knowledge of advanced technologies and/or comprehensive understanding on neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology, or neurophysiology as they relate to electroencephalography, electromyography, or evoked potential studies. Responsibilities include taking medical histories as they relate to neurological diagnosis, prepare and position patients for EDX (electrodiagnostic) studies, applying suitable electrodes to predetermined measured positions on patient and checking their performance, calibrating and adjusting apparatus, replacing faulty plug-in components as needed, selecting predetermined electrode combinations and determining electrode combinations to define focal abnormalities during examinations, interpreting graphic output during the test and modifying the test as needed, observing patients during tests and indicating all artifacts interfering with a true recording and designating all abnormal clinical manifestations observed during the test. Communicates with the technical director in regards to daily operations. Incumbent assists with program development as needed. Job duties are to be performed at the EXPERT level. Performs other related tasks as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $95,422 - $118,619 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $45.70 - $56.81 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
