Position Overview:

Ameresco is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analystto primarily support finance enterprise systems and functions. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the IT Senior Manager supporting Finance systems to provide project and technical support using D365 and other financial systems. The role will provide business process improvements efficiencies as well as workflow, user security administration, upgrades, enhancements, and system troubleshooting. This position is in the Information Technology department and reports to the Director of Business Applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance business to gather, analyze, and document requirements for new/existing systems and enhancements.

  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.

  • Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Partner with IT leadership to implement transformation initiatives improving business and technical tasks and reduce/eliminate manual processes.

  • Work closely with business users, project managers, functional and technical subject matter experts to ensure successful delivery of solutions.

  • Facilitate sessions to elicit requirements and validate solutions.

  • Develop use/cases, process flows, and data models to support system design.

  • Support of business user acceptance testing (UAT) and training efforts.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues post-deployment.

  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and policies.

  • Manage andoptimizecyclicalsystemadministrationtasks,includingaudit processes,system reporting, and access reviews, ensuring compliance and operational continuity.

  • Use JIRA to triage, track, and resolve tickets.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of user training and documentation for new processes and features.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business/ systems analysis using enterprise solutions for HCM, Financial Operations, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft products including excel, Power Automate, Power BI, Snowflake.

  • Business process improvement/ change management documentation and support.

  • Business processes definition, system automation, risk, compliance, SOX, SOC, and audits.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to liaise with leadership, end-users, functional SME's, and IT technical team.

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring minimal supervision.

  • Strong change management, problem solving, and analytical skills.

  • Experience with data integration, architecture, data warehousing, and reporting tools.

  • Microsoft connection/integration design, build, and deployment.

  • Artificial Intelligence.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $92,000-$134,000 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.

Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
