Description

Use your clinical skills to make a difference in the lives of youth and young adults as a Therapist with Thresholds' Mothers Project! The Therapist works closely with the treatment team to create effective treatment plans, utilizing best clinical practices. As the Therapist, you will provide trauma-informed individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention to pregnant and parenting young mothers ages 17 -24 with severe and persistent mental illness along with significant trauma histories. You will run individual therapy and groups at the program's main office and in the residences. Take the lead as the clinical hub for the youth on your caseload, running clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, and participating in clinical data collection and outcomes tracking. To succeed in this role you will need:



  • Passion for providing mental health services to a young adult population
  • Patience and flexibility to meet youth where they're at
  • Strong clinical & relationship-building skills
  • Good writing skills
  • Excellent time management & organization
  • Valid driver's license, current insurance, and daily access to a car
  • Willingness to provide transportation to clients


Requirements:



  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field required
  • Clinical licensure preferred (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, LSW, LPC)
  • CWEL required (must acquire within 1 year of hire)
  • Prior experience providing mental health services to young adults strongly preferred
