Electrical Coordinator / EIT The Electrical Coordinator position includes engineering tasks of varying complexity, assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. The EIT may work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. Other tasks may include:
Check the manufacturer's drawings and perform engineering calculations. Work on design layouts verifying code compliance quality checks meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines as required. Typical design work would deal with power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis, and grounding. Depending on the project's size, the job may require supervising the designer and CAD operators. Projects include power, industrial, and institutional facilities. Must be able to work among other disciplines and have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Candidate must also demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy. Participate in field reviews or construction observation. Familiarity with Piping and Instrument Diagrams, having professional work experience Some travel may be involved Perform all other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred. EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will Expected to obtain their EIT for career progression Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Preference given to local candidates - 2+ years experience designing electrical lighting, power and systems for building projects ; EIT

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
