Job Title: Desktop Support Location(s): Victorville, CA Job Summary The Desktop Support Consultant provides day-to-day technical support for end-user computing environments, including Windows and iOS corporate devices. The role requires foundational knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple technical teams to resolve incidents and implement change activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for Windows desktop operating systems and iOS corporate devices.
- Perform basic administration tasks in Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to resolve incidents and execute approved change tickets.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot business and common applications, including Microsoft products, enterprise tools, and third-party software.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware.
- Maintain documentation of work performed and ensure timely resolution of assigned tasks.
- Follow established ITIL processes for incident, change, and request management.
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting:
- Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7/10).
- Active Directory and Group Policy (beginner-level administration).
- Strong understanding of general IT infrastructure components including servers, network devices, web/app services, and cloud-based services.
- Solid troubleshooting expertise across desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Experience coordinating with multiple support groups in a distributed environment.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation capabilities.
- Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Experience engaging with clients, managing escalations, and ensuring service satisfaction.
- Exposure to team coordination or mentoring is an advantage.
