Security Manager

The Security Manager oversees physical security operations across 90 Community Mental Health locations throughout metropolitan Chicago. This role is responsible for safeguarding staff, clients, and property by implementing and monitoring security protocols, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring incident response aligns with all applicable laws and regulations. Reporting to the Vice President of Facilities and Fleet Operations, the Security Manager collaborates closely with IT, Legal, and Real Estate teams to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

To Succeed in this role, you'll need to:

• Establish and maintain security baseline standards for all community mental health facilities.
• Monitor and maintain access control systems, including cameras, alarms, and key management.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with security vendors and contracted personnel.
• Respond to and document security incidents; lead investigations and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state/local safety regulations.
• Develop and manage security-related procurement processes.
• Provide staff training on security measures and technology systems.
• Prepare annual assessments and progress reports on security initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual assessments and regular progress reports on multi-year initiatives for internal stakeholders and external funders, if applicable.
• Develop scope of work, solicit bid estimates, and manage Thresholds' procurement process for security projects.
• Liaison with Workforce Development to create staff training related to the agency's security measures and policies.
• Train and provide resources to onsite staff regarding the operation of the agency's camera system.
• Work in conjunction with IT, Legal, and the authorities to provide video surveillance recordings or access information in adherence to Thresholds and HIPPA policies.

Experience & Requirements:

• Years of facilities management, architecture, project management, and/or related experience.
• Network experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, network infrastructure).
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar is preferred.
