Responsibilities

The Expert-level Systems Architect leads the design and development of solutions for complex application challenges-including API, data, platform, cloud, and infrastructure services-ensuring all solutions meet user needs and align with strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Government in guiding the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures, ensuring full traceability to Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise requirements.

Lead the analysis of user requirements, business processes, and system challenges to automate or enhance existing systems, while evaluating system capabilities, workflow constraints, and scheduling limitations.

Direct the development of proposed architecture changes based on requirement analysis and emerging technologies.

Oversee, coordinate, and mentor Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level Systems Architect staff to ensure high-quality, integrated architectural solutions.

Required Qualifications

Education

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field - or equivalent additional experience.

Experience

  • 18+ years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or the Intelligence Community's Program Architecture Guidance (PAO).

  • Prior experience supporting NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs or projects.

  • Prior experience supporting IC or DoD programs or projects.

Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI access and successfully complete a polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including related processes, tools, and languages.

Certifications

  • Federated Enterprise Architect Certification (Certified Enterprise Architect).

  • Enterprise Architecture Certification from the National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
