Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to become part of Federal Strategic Cyber Mission programs.

Location: Northern VA; On-site; must be local to the work location.

In this role, you will:

    Develop and update the information systems security documentation (System Security Plan, Contingency Plan, Contingency Plan Test, Business Impact Analysis, Privacy Impact Analysis, etc.) in coordination with NIST, FIPS 199 and FAM/FAH policies.
  • Review the status of all recurring scans monthly to ensure that the scans completed and were performed using valid credentials.
  • Maintain a record of systems, scans completed, and reports sent in Splunk dashboard.
  • Ensure systems are appropriately patched and hardened.
  • Coordinate the creation and remediation of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) findings.
  • Facilitate and support the Ongoing Authorization Program.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Conduct Information System Security Officer responsibilities to include the creation of change request (Notification of Change/SIA), the review of audit logs, the review of system accounts, and the analysis of vulnerability scans.
  • Develop waivers, memorandums, and exceptions for information system vulnerabilities.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications are:

  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience, or 12 years of experience with a Master's. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain at least one of the following certifications before start date. Continued certification required as a condition of employment:
    • CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSLC, SCYBER
  • Expertise in and with Risk Management Framework (5+ years).
  • Security Tools utilization experience.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
    • Ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
