  • Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services.

Responsibilities

  • The STEMI/CP Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, coordination and maintenance of designated accreditation and certification programs including the American Heart Association, Society of Cardiovascular Chest Pain Centers and other agencies.
  • This includes the collection and abstraction of specific STEMI and Chest Pain metrics and reporting of these metrics for maintenance of accreditations and certifications.
  • The STEMI and Chest Pain programs require coordination with EMS providers, physicians, registered nurses, and technicians at all levels of patient care.
  • The ECMO and Cardiogenic Shock Coordinator (ECSC) is responsible for promoting the ECMO and cardiogenic shock network to referring physicians and hospital administrators, while managing relationships across the divisions and in the community.
  • The ECSC is responsible for augmenting the capability of the multi-site ECMO and cardiogenic shock program in effective management and delivery of the highest quality of care to patients presenting with cardiogenic shock.
  • This included the collection and abstraction of specific ECS metrics for process improvement and accreditation purposes.
  • The ECSC will serve as a liaison between the various multidisciplinary components of the Shock Team, including Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, CT Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, CVICU, ECMO team, Pulmonology, Palliative Care, and other Consulting Services.
  • This coordinator will also work with marketing to advertise and socialize our accreditations and accomplishments in the community.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • New Mexico State RN license
  • Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • Minimal 5 years cardiovascular nursing experience required.
  • Training in ECMO and Cardiogenic Shock
  • 5 years in Cardiovascular Nursing
  • Knowledgeable in care of patients with ECMO, Impella, Tandem Heart, STEMI

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
