Position Summary The Columbia University Irving Medical Center's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has long been a leader in advancing women's health care. Located at the heart of CUIMC's vibrant medical community, more than 100 physicians and over 40 post-graduate residents and fellows work together alongside researchers and clinicians across CUIMC to meet women's health care needs. We remain committed to our mission to provide the best patient care, to train future Ob/Gyn leaders, to support innovative research, and to bring those innovations into clinical practice. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a distinguished academic gynecologic oncologist to serve as the next Chief for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, comprised of six full-time faculty members and four nurse practitioners. The Chief will lead and grow the clinical service that offers a full range of services including surgery and chemotherapy to its patients. The Division has a commitment to academic development and has a strong research enterprise in clinical, translational, and population-based research. Additionally, the Division supports an ACGME accredited fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. The incoming Chief will possess successful administrative experience as a leader at an academic institution; national reputation for personal academic accomplishments; experience with development of physician and a reputation for mentorship and demonstrated financial and business acumen. Job Description Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Chief of Gynecologic Oncology will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the gynecologic oncology service. This leadership position will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care, promote innovation in the field, and contribute to the growth and success our organization.
