Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in UCC technology support or AV system installation.

Substitution for Bachelor's degree: Relevant IT Associate's Degree.

OR

An Associate's degree and two years of related IT experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Related IT experience may substitute for the required bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Overview

Under direction this classification provides advanced support for large enterprise Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) technologies, including voice, video conferencing, and audiovisual systems. Oversees complex system configurations, integration projects, and user training to enhance enterprise-wide collaboration tools. This advanced-level position in the UCC Specialist series involves enterprise-level UCC implementation and support. Focuses on system integration, configuration, training, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-level technical support for UCC and AV systems, including hardware/software and networking issues.
  2. Lead UCC upgrade and expansion projects, including planning, budgeting, and presenting to leadership.
  3. Develop and update system documentation, configurations, and disaster recovery plans.
  4. Gather data to analyze system performance and provide input for enhancements.
  5. Design, deliver, and support user and staff training sessions for UCC technologies.
  6. Integrate voice and video technologies and provision platforms for enterprise use.
  7. Research and evaluate new collaboration technologies for potential deployment.
