About the Unit The Radiology and Cardiology Departments at Lakewood Health System provide high-quality diagnostic, interventional, and rehabilitative care. Our interdisciplinary teams collaborate to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout radiology procedures and cardiac rehabilitation services. Nurses in these departments play a crucial role in patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and ongoing support while ensuring strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Mission for Position The Radiology/Cardiology RN supports both radiologic procedures and cardiac rehabilitation services by providing skilled, patient-centered nursing care. This position ensures patients are well-prepared, continuously monitored, and supported throughout their care experience while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and interdepartmental collaboration. Position Summary The Radiology/Cardiology RN delivers direct nursing care to patients undergoing radiology procedures and participating in cardiac rehab. This role includes preparing patients, starting IVs, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing recovery support. The RN assesses patient needs, responds to changes in condition, and communicates effectively with radiologists, cardiology providers, and the care team. This position also supports cardiac rehab by assisting with patient scheduling, education, and ongoing monitoring of therapy plans. The RN ensures accurate documentation, maintains safety and quality standards, and contributes to efficient daily workflow across both departments. Position Type This is a part-time position working 48 hours per pay period (0.6TE), day shift hours, Monday through Friday. No holidays, weekends, or call work required! Qualifications Qualifications
