Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms throughout the U.S. with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our Burbank, CA international aerospace client is looking for a Sr. Quality Analyst to join their organization onsite as a salaried direct employee. Relocation assistance available. The salary range is $110 - $121K.
Flexible start time between the 6:30am - 9:00am shift.
The Quality Analyst role is to plan, design, develop, launch and maintain efficient quality and operational systems in support of core business functions. Serving as a strategic quality resource for company business systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Director and other leadership team members to determine annual supplier quality objectives
  • Implement and maintain a Supplier Scorecard that monitors supplier quality, delivery and other metrics that track the general performance of the supplier
  • Support supplier Quarterly Business Reviews, assess supplier performance, monitor corrective action status, and drive supplier to continuous improvement
  • Liaise with site Quality teams and suppliers to assure that quality issues are addressed and corrective actions are in place and being properly managed to assure root cause analysis and corrective action reporting
  • Conduct assessments of suppliers' quality system and process control capability, and drive implementation of improvement plans
  • Partner with suppliers to develop quality control plans for assigned commodities and drive implementation
  • Conduct first article and first batch audit inspections
  • Prepare management reports and presentations regarding quality status and supplier performance
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Actively engage and understand trends in the industry's approach to quality and new approaches that may provide benefit to BU
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Associate's degree in a technical discipline
Min 4 years of similar quality data analysis experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace, but automotive may be considered) that includes:
  • Working knowledge of the marketplace and manufacturing technologies
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification processes and supplier performance metrics
  • Knowledge of the latest quality science tools including, FMEA, GR&R, Control plans, Capability study and reduction of variations
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of PPM (defects per million charts), & OTD (on time delivery) reporting, working closely with supply chain team
  • Past experience with supplier performance metrics, capability studies with SPC
Min 1 year of experience in a Lean environment (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S, etc)
Min 1 year of experience working on several databases; bringing it together making reports that is requested; gathering report for daily, monthly reporting; updating the Gemba charts.
This is an ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • ASQC certifications and knowledge of SPC (long term reports will be done with SPC)
  • Previous experience working in regulated environment with a preference of FAA CFR 14 part 21 and part 145
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (black belt or green belt)
  • Oracle ERP; Power BI experience; advanced EXCEL (macro level more than pivot table and v look-up)
