About the role:

Are you a skilled driver with a heart for service? We're looking for dedicated drivers who will be instrumental in achieving our blood collection goals and supporting our life-saving mission.

This position is a unique opportunity to use a range of your CDL skills by transporting mobile blood bus as well as employing customer service skills to ensure successful blood drives. Drivers will ensure safe and on-time delivery of the vehicle to the scheduled site followed by return to the garage. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies on vehicles and ensure that vehicles are clean. Performs customer service role during blood drives. Every day, you will make a measurable difference by helping save lives through the efficient setup, operation, and takedown of mobile blood drives and safe transport of blood donations

Schedule:

Variable schedule: Monday - Friday with rotating weekends. May be scheduled between 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m as well as some overnight travel

What you'll do:
  • Manage Blood Transport: Safely transport and deliver mobile blood bus, equipment, and blood products from drives to ensure they reach their destination in top condition. A successful driver will also need exceptional problem-solving skills to manage weather, traffic, or road related driving challenges and report any issues to management.
  • Support Blood Drive Operations: Help set up and take down mobile blood drives with ease and efficiency.
  • Assist and Serve: Provide excellent customer service to donors and team members.
  • Handle Various Tasks: Be ready to tackle additional tasks as they come up to support our team during the drive with a "can-do" approach to meet our mission of saving lives.


Qualifications

What you'll need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated experience driving a truck, bus, coach, or large cargo vehicle.
  • A valid/clean CDL class A or B with airbrakes driver's license
  • Current Medical Card or ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and accurately follow instructions
  • Provide all commercial driving positions held within the past ten years, if any
