The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the management of spare part equipment, common maintenance tooling, daily/weekly/monthly reports, spare parts storage area, and preventive maintenance reporting. This role is best suited for someone who can demonstrate proficiency in organizational skills, Microsoft Excel, and a self-motivated attitude. This position will work with the Maintenance Supervisors, Facilities Engineers, and Automation Controls team to support Production by managing the equipment inventory and assisting in the management of the preventive maintenance program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, not limited to:
This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

  • Create and modify Microsoft Excel Sheets through the utilization of conditional formatting, formulas, and macros.

  • Prepare the Preventative Maintenance work orders for the Maintenance team on a weekly basis.

  • Assist in the development of general Maintenance procedures and work instructions.

  • Responsible for requesting quotations for spare parts based on technical requests from Engineering and Maintenance teams.

  • Order and track spare parts requests in the on-site Purchasing system.

  • Organize all ordered, received, on hold, and cancelled requests within an Excel spreadsheet.

  • Able to create, utilize, and manipulate formulas in Excel to sort large amounts of data into a presentable format.

  • Maintain the Critical Equipment Spare Part Excel Sheet and create identification tags for parts that are received in.

  • Manage the maintenance common tooling process.

  • Assist in the management of calibrating all critical furnace equipment by sending/receiving devices before expiration dates.

  • Comfortable walking onto the Production floor to receive incoming spare parts and manage the spare parts storage area.

  • Gather data from multiple spreadsheet sources and create re-occurring reports for the on-site management team.

  • Assist in the planning of Maintenance shut down jobs working with the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Engineering team.

  • Manage consumable Preventive Maintenance spares as they are used throughout the year.

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical system principles.

  • Comfortable working in dirty environments to support the Maintenance spare parts program.

  • Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety, and procedures.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment or maintenance related field (Hydraulic Systems, CNC Machines, Water Jets, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Welding, HVAC, or Facilities/General Maintenance).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an office administrative position utilizing computer software to manage inventory and schedule business related operations.

  • Be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel.

  • Be able to demonstrate proficiency and provide examples of managing/organizing business inventory.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in procurement, planning, or maintenance reliability related field of study.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or maintenance related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working in an office administrative position utilizing computer software to manage inventory and schedule business related operations.
