This position is scheduled to begin August 2026. The Automotive Faculty member provides high-quality instruction in the Automotive Service program using ASE-aligned teaching methods and hands-on training across all major vehicle systems. This position prepares students for ASE Entry-Level and Professional-Level certifications while supporting their academic progress through advising, academic support hours, and pathway guidance. The faculty member develops and delivers curriculum in classroom, hybrid, and laboratory environments while maintaining safe, well-equipped instructional shops that meet ASE Education Foundation standards. Regular responsibilities include collaborating on equipment planning, supporting program recruitment and retention, and building strong partnerships with local dealerships, repair facilities, and industry organizations to enhance internships and graduate employment opportunities Essential Functions

A. Previous teaching or training experience (5+ years preferred) at a community college, university, OEM training center, dealership academy, military technical school, or industry-based technician training institution. Special Working Conditions
Work Schedule Varies, may be required to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Climbing stairs and/or ladders to reach assigned areas along with working at heights. May be required to lift or carry up to 50lbs. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. TRAVEL: Local travel to multiple colleges various MCCCD campuses and area high schools is required. Remote travel may be required for training or seminars.
