Job Description




As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Team in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. By conducting routine patrols and remaining visible, you will contribute to a positive experience for all on site. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to demonstrate your professionalism, exceptional customer service, and communication skills while working as part of a dedicated team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business interior and perimeter areas.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
  • Support Allied Universal management and site leadership in upholding security-related standards and expectations.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and site staff to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
