Summary
The Analyst position is part of the Controller's organization, reporting to the Assistant Controller, and will support the Controllers team in optimizing financial operations by analyzing and streamlining accounting workflows, identifying inefficiencies, enhancing regulatory compliance/reporting and implementing new strategies. This role is ideal for someone with an accounting background, an understanding of ERP systems & implementation, and a passion for improving processes and systems. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Accounting with a focus on business/system management to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and process improvement methodologies. The individual will have demonstrated experience with financial data analysis, using tools Excel, SAP S4/Hana, and PowerBI. This role follows compliance with New York State Public Authority's Law and other accounting rules and regulations including US GAAP, GASB, FASB and FERC. #LI-JP1 Responsibilities

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years relevant work experience; Or Associate's Degree with 4 years relevant work experience; Or High School Diploma with 6 years relevant work experience
Physical Requirements
The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $81,000 - $101,100. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
