Plant Controller in Sacramento, CA Silgan Containers is seeking a Plant Controller to join our Sacramento, CA, plant for managing all plant-level accounting functions, including cost accounting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and compliance. This role is critical in supporting plant operations and ensuring financial integrity in a highly collaborative and responsive environment. The Plant Controller's compensation for this CA-based position is competitive and based on experience, education, and skills, typically ranging from $77,500-$98,900 per year. In this role. Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory through meticulous tracking and reporting systems. Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports covering labor, materials, manufacturing overhead, distribution costs, returns, and inventory levels. Maintain and enforce internal controls across plant operations to safeguard assets, mitigate risks, and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Provide leadership to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Act as a strategic partner to plant management, providing financial insights to guide operational decisions, improve profitability, and mitigate risk. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration. At least 5 years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in JD Edwards, Oracle, and OnBase platforms for efficient data management. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for developing and analyzing complex financial models.
