Job Summary:

The Sr. HR Technology Manager is generally responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining HR Technology systems and tools. These systems and tools support the collection, retrieval, access and use of employee information for business planning and activities. The role provides support for functions that include, but are not limited to, manager and employee self-service, compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, payroll, time tracking, absence, reporting, and system security. The individual works with a broad range of client groups to evaluate business needs, then designs, implements and/or modifies systems or tools to meet changing demands. This role will also have responsibility for designing, creating and executing reports, and data extracts and interfaces related to the HR systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administration, support, maintenance, and configuration of OpenGov's Human Resources and Payroll systems

  • Maintain documentation of functional requirements and systems specifications

  • Regularly evaluate HR Technology processes and methodologies to identify, recommend, and align them to best practices

  • Conduct research to identify best practices, and stay up to date on system releases and trends

  • Work with cross-functional teams and system stakeholders to evaluate business needs, recommend system-based solutions.

  • Consult with client groups and stakeholders to identify system gaps and opportunities to be addressed through configuration changes, update of undeployed functionality, and deployment of new feature releases

  • Perform regular audits to ensure regular and proper functioning of system processes

  • Lead projects, which includes leading meetings, providing regular project updates, and adhering to project deadlines.

  • Provide functional support for integrations to ensure successful execution

  • Design, develop and deploy reports and dashboards to support business initiatives and needs

  • Assist in the development of materials and delivery of system training to for end users

Requirements and Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 8-12 years of Human Resource technical and functional system experience

  • Highly experienced supporting HRIS systems

    • 2+ years of Workday system administration/configuration experience required

    • Highly experienced supporting a wide variety of HR systems (e.g. payroll, time tracking, applicant tracking, etc.)

  • Proficiency with Workday Report Writing

  • Training courses or seminars related to Workday preferred

  • Detail-oriented team player with ability to handle multiple projects and tasks

  • Excellent problem solving, collaboration, time management, and organization skills

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and open manner through verbal, written, and non-verbal methods, to all levels of the organization

  • Experience using Google Workspace a plus

  • Exhibits sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality

Compensation:

Chicago, IL: $160,000 - $185,000

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
