Overview

At TDS, our interns are our future. We are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about problem solving and delivering technology solutions to move our business forward. As a Field Services Data Analytics Intern with us, you will build a solid foundation for your career by gaining hands-on experience from working on multiple projects with a wide variety of applications, including GIS, addressing, records and data review.

Location: This position can work remotely in any of the 40+ states in which TDS Telecom operates.

Work Schedule: This is a year-round internship starting in January 2026, and we require at least 15 hours per week during core business hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Pay: The base pay rate offered for this position is expected to be $19/hour.

Responsibilities

In this position you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech learning environment to build, analyze, and administer our network, server, and security related infrastructure. Your existing problem solving, communication, and organizational skills will be expanded by learning to use a broad spectrum of leading-edge technologies that will build a solid foundation for your career. These include but are not limited to:

  • Excited to learn how to help research plant records and technology platforms to serve our customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Work with a variety of addressing and records systems to identify service opportunities
  • Ability to evaluate network delivery technologies and understand network engineering leading-edge technologies as well as build/analyze/administer our networks
  • Comfortable addressing issues and finding creative solutions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excited to learn how to help migrate from legacy to Cloud-based solutions
  • Ready to manage a variety of hardware devices through support and upgrades
  • Ability to evaluate network equipment and leading-edge technologies as well as build/analyze/administer our networks
  • Comfortable addressing issues and finding creative solutions

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Must be able to complete working hours between M-F 8-5pm
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Must be 18+ years of age

Benefits

Associates scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week have access to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits such as vacation (15 days accrued per year for full-time; pro-rated for part-time associates working between 20-39 hours), sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates), seven paid national holidays and one floating holiday, paid parental leave (2 weeks after 12 months of employment), among others. Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability coverage is also available for associates working 30 or more hours per week and Education Assistance is available to full-time associates. Associates scheduled to work under twenty hours per week or for a limited term (i.e. interns) are eligible for medical coverage, the 401(k) plan (if 18 or older), as well as sick leave (10 days accrued per year for full-time and pro-rated for all other associates).
