Main Function: To ensure that all available opportunities for raising funds and grant acquisition are successfully explored, developed and maintained; contributing to the financial viability and overall sustainability of the organization. Will implement recruiting and outreach programs by marketing PORTCO's services, staffing and employment processing. * Lead PORTCO's internal communications strategy, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and connected to the organization's mission through regular updates, announcements, success stories, and employee recognition and shout-outs. * Create impactful marketing materials, themes, slogans, stories, and messaging that can be used across media platforms to promote PORTCO's mission, programs, and services. * Collaborate with the Human Resources Director and leadership team to gather information needed for corporate and foundation funder reporting related to current grant programs. * Plan and coordinate onsite tours and engagement opportunities for supporters, funders, partners, and community stakeholders. * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, foundations, community organizations, and individual donors to increase visibility, funding, and long-term support. * Accurately track fundraising progress, maintain donor databases, and prepare reports as required for leadership and funders. * Develop and contribute to promotional articles, publications, events, and campaigns that increase awareness of PORTCO's mission, services, and community impact. * Create, manage, and lead fundraising campaigns aligned with organizational goals and donor interests. * Explain the tax advantages of charitable contributions to potential donors and partners as appropriate. * Write, organize, and submit compelling grant proposals, applications, and supporting documentation that clearly communicate PORTCO's mission, outcomes, and impact. * Develop and manage an annual grants strategy, including prospect research to identify, cultivate, and solicit new funding opportunities. * Support PORTCO Connect by identifying and developing new business opportunities-particularly in the Hampton Roads region-to secure contracts and partnerships that allow PORTCO to perform janitorial, maintenance, administrative, and other services. * Build and strengthen community partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, workforce organizations, and educational institutions to expand PORTCO's visibility and employment opportunities. * Manage PORTCO's social media presence, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant platforms, ensuring consistent branding and messaging. * Create and distribute engaging, shareable content tailored to each platform that supports marketing, recruitment, fundraising, and brand awareness goals. * Plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions, tracking engagement and performance metrics to measure success and inform strategy. * Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads through digital and community outreach efforts. * Explore new and innovative ways to engage audiences and identify emerging platforms or outreach opportunities. * Support recruitment efforts by building applicant sources through relationships with community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and workforce partners; providing organizational information, presentations, and maintaining rapport. * Enhance PORTCO's employer brand and organizational attractiveness by recommending communication, marketing, and engagement practices that support employee retention and community trust. * Maintain professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, professional organizations, and networking related to marketing, fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and workforce development.
