Why We Need You

We're looking for a skilled CDL Truck Driver (based out of our mill in St. Ansgar, IA) to help us deliver on our promise of professionalism and exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll be responsible for transporting bulk commodities across the Midwest region, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all state and federal transportation laws. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help us maintain the highest standards in logistics and customer satisfaction.

You'll collaborate closely with our trucking operations team, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure smooth scheduling and communication. This role also involves interacting with customers and internal departments to maintain positive relationships and uphold our company's reputation for reliability and service excellence.

Essential Duties



  • Safely operate a semi-truck and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Transport bulk commodities (hopper, walking floor, van loads) across the Midwest.
  • Follow loading protocols and secure loads properly.
  • Use GPS and phone-based navigation systems for route management.
  • Assist with loading and unloading grain.
  • Perform general maintenance and inspections, report equipment issues promptly.
  • Accurately document trips, hours, and load details using ELD and TMS systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer shop area.
  • Comply with company policies, safety standards, and FDA sanitary transport requirements.


Requirements



  • Active and valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • DOT Medical Certification (current and valid).
  • Minimum 5 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Ability to work overnight and mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Experience in grain handling (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and general maintenance skills.
  • Proficiency with mobile apps and computer programs.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 8 feet.
  • Comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to maintain logs and records per FMCSA standards.
  • Clean background check.
  • Customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
