Internship Program Overview

Our 10-week summer internship program givesstudentshands-on experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while learning about our organization.Internswill connect with leaders,participatein development sessions like self-assessments and business overviews, and take part in networking and community initiatives. The program concludes with a final presentation to leaders and peers, whereinternsshowcasetheirwork, share ideas, and receive valuable feedback.

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

The ComplianceAnalyst Intern supports the organization's compliance program by ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This role leverages AI tools to streamline policy management and supports digital workflow systems to enhance operational efficiency.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Policy Management & AI Integration:

    • Use AI tools to generate concise,accuratesummaries of compliance policies and procedures.
    • Maintaina centralized repository of policy summaries in SharePoint for cross-functional access and reference.
    • Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, andPrivacyteams to ensure AI-generated content aligns with approved language and intent.


  • Workflow & Request Management:

    • Design Smartsheet workflows to track compliance-related requests (e.g.,sponsorships, Advisory Boards, Market Research, etc.).
    • Ensuretimelyrouting, escalation, and resolution of requests within the Smartsheet platform.
    • Monitor workflow metrics and generate reports toidentifybottlenecks and improvementopportunities.



You will need to have

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (junior year or above) or a graduate degree in Life Sciences, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or later.
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) for document summarization or automation.
  • Proficiencyin SharePoint and Smartsheet.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

We would prefer for you to have

  • Experience designing automated workflows.
  • 2+ years of coursework in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or quality assurance.

Location

This is a hybrid rolebased inCary. Interns are expected to work on-site up to 3 days per week.
