Position Description

This position is responsible for running and maintaining machines related to press brakes and laser operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs all set up and operation of equipment in the laser cell, including but not limited to: ensuring the proper settings for the laser machine, proper placement of raw material into the tower system, removal and segregation of finished parts from the tower system, and prepare kits for welding.
  • Write, manage, load programs in laser to manufacture various parts
  • Evaluates laser cut edge of part and make decisions concerning various machine adjustments to assure the optimum edge quality.
  • Responsible for safe operation of equipment using all related safety devices.
  • Reads blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of setup.
  • Operate press brake using QA tools
  • Reports all defects and non-conforming materials to supervisor.
  • Performs experimental and developmental work as required.
  • Works closely with engineering to correct program and machine issues.
  • Makes minor program modifications via CNC machine control.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Highschool Diploma
  • 1+ years manufacturing, preferably fabricating parts
