As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access control points and verify identification as required for entry to restricted areas within the location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the manufacturing and industrial setting.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical emergencies, as directed by site protocols.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
