Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail or mall location, helping to deter security-related incidents and contributing to a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or potential incidents.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the location to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to tenants, employees, and visitors.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and any security-related matters as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
