Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Completes Level II reports within nine (9) working-day deadline, as established by state criteria. Assesses mental illness, using history and physical examination, psychosocial evaluation, psychiatric evaluation, and/or functional assessment of activities of daily living. Assesses DD/ID, using history and physical examination, comprehensive drug history, self-care and skills profiles, assessments of inappropriate/maladaptive behaviors, and psychological testing. Interviews individuals, their representatives and family, and knowledgeable healthcare professionals to obtain supplemental information. Provides written summary of medical and social history, including assessment of developmental strengths and weaknesses. Identifies general recommendations in writing for treatment, including specific nursing services or specific mental illness and/or DD/ID services. Identifies specialized service recommendations for treatment, including individualized, active mental illness and/or DD/ID treatment. For Licensed/Certified Psychologist, provides psychological assessments to identify level of cognitive functioning. Provides verbal and written determinations for admission to nursing level of care based on outcome of PASRR Evaluations.
