Position / Department Summary
The Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU) and Complex Care Services (CCS) seek a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a flexible inpatient role supporting both services through extended service rotations, providing several consecutive months on each team to promote deeper clinical immersion and continuity of care. This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will serve as a primary clinical provider for infants, children, and adolescents with acute illness, chronic disease, and medical complexity requiring high-level inpatient care outside of the ICU setting. The PIMCU provides intensive nursing and medical support for higher-acuity patients, while the inpatient CCS team is a nationally recognized inpatient service caring for children with complex chronic conditions and functional limitations. This APP will collaborate closely with supervising physicians, pediatric trainees (residents and fellows), nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across both services.
