Data Center Project Manager

Job Summary

The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of data center and network infrastructure projects, ensuring effective planning, resource management, execution, and closeout. This role manages bidding activities, materials procurement, installation oversight, budget tracking, reporting, and project documentation. The Project Manager maintains strong client relationships by providing a high-quality experience and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with project goals and organizational standards. This position requires daily onsite presence to monitor project progress, support field teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for client meetings and communication.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, including presales support, planning, delivery, closeout, and post-installation activities.
• Monitor project milestones, timelines, risks, and budgets, and implement proactive and corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee change control processes and secure required change orders.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and customer teams to ensure timely, high-quality work.
• Validate materials, standard operating procedures, and project deliverables throughout all phases.
• Maintain accurate project data, documentation, reporting, and system integrity.
• Align contract documents, proposals, and financial details to ensure consistency and proper billing schedules.
• Review project and field budget trackers, project metrics, invoicing, pending awards, accounts receivable, and system dates on a weekly basis.
• Oversee multiple projects and teams simultaneously, ensuring workflow continuity and issue resolution.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative to monitor daily progress and facilitate client-facing meetings.
• Identify additional service opportunities to support account growth.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are met throughout project execution.

Job Requirements

• 5-10 years of project management experience.
• Prior experience managing technical infrastructure, OSP, ISP, or data center installation projects.
• College degree or associate degree preferred.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of voice, data, fiber, and wireless installation project delivery.
• RCDD certification preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to stand and walk job sites.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.

Work Experience

• Experience overseeing OSP and ISP installations, validating materials, reviewing SOPs, and managing reporting processes.
• Experience serving in a client-facing capacity for meetings, communications, and daily project oversight.

Pay and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $120,000-$130,000.
• Monthly vehicle allowance of $750.
• Monthly phone allowance of $150.
