The Work Program Participant will work in the field and in house occasionally as needed to facilitate, Assist the Director with organizing and recruitment of potential candidate to complete surveys, will work as the point contact between COIP unit and individuals being surveyed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall program information to the COIP participants. Will field participant's eligibility for participation in COIP services.
  • Serve as a conduit for information on other programs and services that can be provided to participants.
  • Provide direct services to individuals enrolled in COIP programs.
  • Work with various communities, educational organizations, and agencies to promote project goal. Provide input on services provided by program to increase program capability to serve more participants.
  • Provide data via written Daily Activity Reports for program monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Effectively communicate program's mission and goals.
  • Serves as a liaison between program participants and outside providers such as drug treatment programs through release of information form (s) signed by program participants and by assisting with simple problem solutions; provides information to program participants about onsite services provided
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Possession of qualifications established for the specific program for which the candidate is applying.
  3. Eligibility for employment under the provisions of the Statute and Rules governing the State Universities Civil Service System of Illinois.
