EOG's Director, Environmental Operations will be responsible for leading the development of pro-active division-specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations including spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, storm water control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters, waste management, community right-to-know, endangered species, and cultural resources. In addition, the Director will promote environmental awareness and stewardship at all levels of management and field operations and will provide support and input into the environmental component of the annual EOG sustainability reporting.
Oversee and support division environmental teams and resource needs and lead and facilitate cross divisional collaboration through issue specific work teams, effective meetings and field work. The Director will also work closely with all headquarters environmental program leads to support environmental program delivery in divisions. Lead in the development of environmental staffing and environmental policy and regulatory support for new and emerging divisions in consideration of all environmental attributes
Candidate will have broad environmental experience in air emission controls, reporting and permitting, environmental permitting and compliance at the federal and state levels, waste management in including NORM, spill mitigation and management, endangered species and biodiversity management. Being adept in data analysis, evaluation of control technologies, regulatory analysis at state and federal levels will be critical to this position.
The candidate will be expected to lead and support a broad group of environmental leaders and practitioners across EOG requiring exceptional leadership skills and judgement and be able to facilitate collaborative and innovative processes to derive solutions and practices that enhance EOG environmental compliance and stewardship. Work with environmental division teams to develop policies, systems, programs and initiatives to support compliance and environmental stewardship.
Attend meetings with state and federal policy and regulatory officials and participate in industry regulatory development efforts. JOB REQUIREMENTS
