Job Summary

We are hiring Entry-Level Data Center Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and organization of structured cabling and equipment within critical data center environments. This contract-to-hire role provides hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear pathway for career growth in the telecom and low-voltage industry. Technicians will support national infrastructure projects involving fiber and copper cabling, equipment installation, cable management, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work extended hours, including weekends and 12-hour shifts.

Job Responsibilities




  • Assist with cable infrastructure installation, including copper and fiber rough-in



  • Perform cable management tasks, including dressing and labeling



  • Terminate copper and fiber cabling in accordance with standards



  • Rack and stack customer equipment and build server racks



  • Complete rack elevations and equipment layouts



  • Install fiber trays, ladder racks, cabinets, and customer equipment



  • Support infrastructure installations such as cable management systems, fiber trays, ladder racks, and power trays



  • Receive materials and assemble hardware as required



  • Assist with Outside Plant (OSP) installations, including running fiber into data center environments



  • Read and follow blueprints and installation drawings



  • Communicate professionally with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing



  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper PPE use, jobsite cleanliness, and OSHA standards




Job Requirements




  • High School Diploma or GED



  • 0-2 years of experience as a Data Center Technician or in a related skilled trade environment



  • Skilled trade background preferred



  • OSHA 10 certification preferred



  • Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and 12-hour shifts



  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated willingness to learn new skills



  • Physical ability to work on ladders and scissor lifts, operate in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, move up to 75 pounds, and remain on feet for the duration of the shift




Education




  • High School Diploma or GED required




Work Experience




  • Entry-level experience acceptable; exposure to data center, low-voltage, telecom, or construction environments is a plus
