Job Summary We are seeking Data Center Technicians with early-stage experience in structured cabling and data center environments. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for individuals who have developed foundational field skills and are ready to grow with continued mentorship. The role supports data center build projects nationwide and requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, consistent onsite attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Technicians will assist with the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems, infrastructure hardware, and data center equipment within the telecom and low-voltage industry. Job Responsibilities

Perform structured cabling installations, including fiber and copper cable rough-in, routing, labeling, and dressing

Terminate and test fiber and copper cabling with moderate supervision

Rack, stack, and assist with the installation of network and server equipment according to rack elevations

Install infrastructure hardware such as ladder racks, fiber trays, cabinets, and related supports

Read and follow basic blueprints, installation standards, and project documentation

Assist with Outside Plant (OSP) fiber installation into data center environments

Receive materials, stage equipment, and assemble hardware components

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized jobsite

Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, leads, and supervisors
Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
-
One to two years of experience in a data center or commercial structured cabling environment

Basic knowledge of copper and fiber cable types, termination methods, and testing tools

OSHA 10 certification preferred

Willingness and ability to travel as required for national data center build projects

Availability to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, as project demands require

Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move items up to 75 pounds; capable of standing and walking for the duration of the shift

Ownership of basic hand tools, including a multi-bit screwdriver, snips, punch tool, pliers, tape measure, flashlight, tool pouch, and steel or composite toe work boots
