Advertising and Promotions Manager

You will collaborate extensively across the Marketing and Communications department-and with teams throughout the Museum-to deliver compelling, consistent, and brand-aligned marketing campaigns for exhibitions, programs, and institutional priorities.

Pay Range: $55,700-$74,200/year, based on experience.

What You'll Do

As the Advertising and Promotions Manager, your responsibilities will include:



Strategy and Planning



  • Developing strategic, integrated marketing plans to promote the Museum's many offerings, including ongoing programs and temporary exhibitions.
  • Recommending and managing budget allocations to create strategic, multi-channel advertising campaigns aligned with seasonal and institutional priorities.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Communications colleagues to ensure membership communications, email marketing, social media, paid and organic search, content marketing, and other channels are integrated into campaign plans.



Campaign Execution and Project Management



  • Managing day-to-day execution of advertising and promotional campaigns, including creative briefs, message development, media buying, and trafficking.
  • Monitoring campaign performance to optimize tactics as needed and ensure timely and accurate delivery of all assets.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with media sales representatives and vendors; identifying cost effective media opportunities and negotiating rates and placements with support of Associate Director, Marketing and Membership.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive results reports for all marketing and advertising campaigns with a focus on ROI, audience engagement, and other key performance indicators.



Partnerships and Collaboration



  • Identifying, soliciting and managing promotional partnerships and media sponsorships with local and regional organizations to increase Museum visibility, including attending Marketing Advisory Committee Meetings at Visit Denver.
  • Partnering with local tourism board and other city agencies to promote Museum offerings, representing the museum's interest at meetings as needed.
  • Collaborating with in-house graphic design team to produce cohesive advertising assets, on-site graphics, and other marketing materials aligned with best-in-class branding practices.
  • Serving as the primary marketing liaison to Development when evaluating sponsorship opportunities, fulfilling partner agreements, and maintaining brand integrity across corporate sponsorship activities.
  • Providing strategic marketing counsel and expertise to other departments as needed.
  • Participating in cross-departmental committees and project teams to support institutional initiatives.



Culture and Additional Duties



  • Supporting an internal culture of inclusion and belonging and contribute to a positive team dynamic.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For



You might be a great fit if you have:



  • 3-5 years of related professional experience in marketing, advertising or promotions.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience with media planning, analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities and stay organized in a dynamic environment.



And it would be really helpful to also have:



  • Experience working with, and providing direction to, creative teams.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation, digital marketing tools and CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of the Denver cultural landscape.



This role has some physical requirements



  • Involves tasks that include sitting, typing, speaking, hearing, and some local travel (within the metro area).


This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU.
