Job Summary:
The Spooner Agricultural Research Station is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Agricultural Research Stations. The Spooner Agricultural Research Station is the northernmost station and specializes in Agronomy and Horticulture crop production research. The Agricultural Equipment Operator II position operates, cleans, and repairs basic and complex agricultural machines and equipment to ensure safety and operable functionality and to adhere to established rules, policies, and regulations. This position also stages equipment and machines in preparation of agricultural activities Applies pesticides in accordance with best practices and established rules, policies, and regulations. This position also maintains organization of designated facilities and associated supplies, notifies appropriate entities of damaged materials or the need for supply replenishment. This position will have a full year FTE of 87.5%. (3 months of winter will be at 50% FTE and the other 9 months of the year will be at 100% FTE) Key Job Responsibilities:
Spooner Agricultural Research Station - 1036 East Maple Street, Spooner, WI 54801 Compensation:The anticipated salary range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00. However, final salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
