Housekeeper

OVERVIEW:

The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring lodging, meeting spaces, and other assigned housekeeping areas are cleaned in a manner that presents a constant image of cleanliness, order, and a high standard of sanitation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all camp buildings used by guests
• Clean and prepare all areas for use by the rental group
• Collect, wash, dry, and fold any linen, sleeping bags, or other items that have been used by rental groups
• Maintain laundry room(s) in clean and orderly fashion
• Maintain Cleaning Closet(s) in a clean and orderly fashion
• Secure all janitorial/housekeeping supplies and equipment pertinent to guest services
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed
• Check lights, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors and fire extinguishers
• Ensure the readiness of all accommodations and restrooms for incoming rental groups
• Assist in the cleanliness of indoor meeting spaces
• Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

EQUIPMENT USED:

• Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
