Job Summary

The Research Data Analyst 2 will assist with follow-up of sampled STD patients to collect STD-related clinical and behavioral data needed for enhanced disease surveillance, e.g. California Gonorrhea Surveillance System (CGSS) Interviews. The main work objectives for the incumbent are to conduct telephone interviews of STD patients using a standardized questionnaire, follow-up with medical providers to collect additional clinical information on cases, and conduct data entry/management of STD case information. The RDA 2 will also provide patient education as needed and ensure that patients received proper medical exams and were treated in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications

Working knowledge of research function. Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures. Working skills in analysis and consultation. Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
