Component Laboratory Technician I Job Locations

Responsibilities Summary: This entry level position performs routine manufacturing of blood components based on the capabilities of the site. This includes processing whole blood to create red blood cells and plasma products, processing apheresis red blood cells, special blood products and application of final product labels. The Tech I will be proficient in the proper use, maintenance, and quality control of processing equipment. The Tech I accurately and concurrently documents manufacturing records, strictly adheres to standard operating procedures and is competent in the usage of El Dorado Donor (EDD) and MasterControl (MC). All work processes are performed and documented according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and within the guidelines of accrediting organizations (FDA, AABB, Green Cross, CLIA, etc.). Schedule: 30 Hours a Week Variable Schedule: Monday - Saturday with occasional Sundays and Holidays. May be scheduled between 8:00am - 9pm. Most shifts will be in the afternoon/evening. Receive blood collections, fold blood bags
