Position Summary:

Aerospace & Defense (A&D); Strategic Capture Leadership. This role will report to the Vice President - Strategic Customer Account Leader - Department of War (A&D). This position will have a lead role in driving new business for the A&D sector, including the Integrated Electronics (IE) and Interconnect Solutions (IS) business units, working in close coordination with the Customer Account teams, Engineering, Finance, and site Operations teams. The Golden Dome Capture Leader will identify, develop, and capture new product business consistent with the A&D Sector strategy and capabilities, with primary focus on engaging with the Golden Dome program office in the Pentagon and influencing requirements at the earliest stages. The successful candidate will leverage their market, customer, and product specific subject matter expertise, along with deep customer relationships, to identify, pursue, and capture high-value growth opportunities within the Golden Dome portfolio. This is a highly visible role, driving critical growth initiatives that will have a direct impact on the company's success.

This is a full-time position in which the candidate will be expected to travel 50% of the time, primarily across North America (with significant time in the National Capital Region and Huntsville, AL).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Central coordination point for all Golden Dome activities across multiple Strategic Account and Business Development leads
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with the Golden Dome program office in the Pentagon, serving as the primary interface for strategic engagement
  • Proactively engage with Golden Dome leadership, program managers, and technical staff to understand mission requirements, technology roadmaps, and emerging capability gaps 18-48 months before formal solicitations
  • Influence and shape Golden Dome requirements, specifications, and acquisition strategies to align with company capabilities and create competitive advantage
  • Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for Golden Dome opportunities, positioning the company as a trusted technology partner and preferred solution provider
  • Build and maintain relationships at multiple levels within the Pentagon: program offices, engineering directorates, acquisition leadership, end users, and requirements owners
  • Build strong pipeline of Golden Dome opportunities aligned with sector strategy, and document all opportunities in CRM with detailed intelligence on stakeholders, requirements, competition, and win strategies
  • Proven track record managing opportunities through complete capture lifecycle: qualification shaping capture proposal award, with emphasis on early engagement and requirements influence
  • Lead capture efforts for Golden Dome opportunities, developing and executing winning strategies that maximize content across multiple systems and platforms
  • Work with Engineering, Operations, and Pricing Teams to architect solutions that meet/exceed Golden Dome specifications while delivering competitive advantage in price/performance to ensure successful capture and execution of opportunities
  • Serve as the voice of the Golden Dome customer internally, translating mission needs and priorities into actionable business strategies and investment decisions
  • Coordinate with Pentagon stakeholders to arrange technical exchanges, facility tours, capability demonstrations, and executive briefings that showcase company solutions
  • Monitor and analyze Golden Dome program budgets, timelines, and acquisition strategies to identify windows of opportunity and potential risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer program and engineering staff to identify opportunities to partner on new technologies or programs, ensuring early engagement, effective positioning to win, and maximum value realization
  • Engage customers proactively to shape requirements before RFP release; influence specifications to align with company capabilities through white papers, technical discussions, and industry day participation
  • Maximize content reuse and efficiency across proposal, marketing, and capability materials; establish and maintain content libraries across different management systems specific to Golden Dome requirements and past performance
  • Ensure content quality, accuracy, and compliance with brand standards across all Golden Dome capture efforts
  • Apply structured capture methodologies (Phase Gate) to ensure disciplined pursuit decisions and optimal resource allocation
  • Conduct competitive intelligence, pricing strategy, and win theme development specific to Golden Dome competitive landscape
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Account Managers and Business Development to ensure concurrent understanding of customer activity, competitive landscape, and price to win
  • Develop/deliver bid/no-bid review packages to meet executive requirements and inform critical decision making
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer value propositions tailored to Golden Dome mission priorities
  • Present to executive leadership (internal) and senior customer officials (program managers, military officers, SES leadership) with confidence and credibility
  • When required, perform Capture Management role working with cross-functional team to deliver successful capture strategies, achieve position/price-to-win objectives, and ensure high capture rates
  • Work with Engineering and Operations Teams to drive identification and development of new capabilities enabling penetration on new Golden Dome programs, stand up of solutions, and the maintaining of market-leading capabilities

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated success working in complex, matrixed organizational structures
  • Deep, established relationships within the Pentagon, specifically with the Golden Dome program office and/or similar related acquisition organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence requirements and acquisition strategies through strategic engagement and technical credibility
  • Deep experience and relationships in the A&D electronics ecosystem with focus on Department of War programs and Pentagon stakeholders
  • Possess strong understanding of the A&D customer environment, the DoD/Pentagon acquisition process, Golden Dome mission priorities, and knowledge/understanding of key programs at the DoD level
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with leading A&D customers
  • Strong understanding of PCB/Microelectronics industry, RF/MW products, Mission Systems, and design-to-specification solution selling within the context of Golden Dome applications
  • Experience navigating Pentagon bureaucracy, understanding organizational dynamics, and identifying key decision makers and influencers
  • Ability to rapidly gain a strong understanding of our existing products/capabilities & our competitors in the Golden Dome space
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and assess new business opportunities and develop effective capture strategies with proven success in
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with executive leadership and Pentagon officials
  • Effective team leader with ability to collaborate across organizational and functional boundaries
  • Clear and established track record of new business wins, including recent and relevant awards greater than $50M, preferably within similar strategic programs to Golden Dome
  • Strong understanding of content management systems and tools supporting capture and proposal development
  • Understanding of Congressional appropriations process and how it impacts Golden Dome program funding and priorities

Required Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field, MBA is preferred

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of applicable industry experience and business development experience preferred; A&D industry experience required.

Security clearance required, or ability to obtain a clearance immediately; TS/SCI clearance highly preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
