Overview

Provides professional and administrative support to department and division leadership and faculty. Serves as Ophthalmology triage, responsible for handling urgent family needs.

***Ophthamology experience is preferred***

Responsibilities

    Handle phone calls with urgent appointment requests
  • Manage portal messages from families and internal departments, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as prior authorizations, FMLA paperwork, and other required documentation.
  • Support clinic flow:
    • Fill open appointment slots
    • Respond to family requests
    • Address urgent needs via phone while technicians are occupied with patients in clinic


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience
  • Associate's Degree and 3-5 years experience
  • HS Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years experience

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.66/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
