What you will experience in this position:

As an Electrical Design Supervisor at nVent Management Company, you will have an outstanding opportunity to lead a highly skilled team. You will drive innovation and ensure flawless project execution. You will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Electrical Build team by providing technical mentorship, project leadership, and people leadership to support customer and business needs.

  • Drive product builds, improvements, and launches from concept through production using a structured stage-gate development process.

  • Partner closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to translate customer requirements and market trends into executable build solutions.

  • Coordinate and contribute to electrical layouts and builds, supporting power distribution, relay panels, lighting, and control systems while ensuring alignment with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.

  • Support build execution through cross-functional coordination, vendor drawing reviews, documentation, and technical support during construction and implementation.

  • Identify and implement new technologies and processes to improve build efficiency, quality, and scalability while encouraging a collaborative, problem-solving team environment.

You have:

  • Academic background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Previous experience includes 5+ years in electrical or engineering roles. At least 2 of those years must involve supervisory or team leadership. Candidates should show cross-functional collaboration in engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments.

  • You need a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical build tools. You must demonstrate the ability to build for manufacturability. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Effective project and time management skills are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also important.

  • Abilities: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or build environment, prioritize multiple tasks and complex development schedules, and collaborate across fields while supporting continuous improvement and change.
