These solutions include intranet and collaboration tools, document management systems (such as SharePoint), and web application development. ECAWS supports the external website, Atlassian tools (Confluence and Jira), eForms, and enterprise search. The team also enables others to create Drupal websites, designs user experiences, and develops websites both internally and externally (for conferences). ECAWS provides application integration with web services for many existing and new business applications. Additionally, ECAWS integrates new technology capabilities, such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), enabling Laboratory personnel to be more effective and efficient. Position Description This co-op position is part of the ECAWS team and focuses on application and system administration. The Applications / System Administration Co-op will assist with streamlining daily operational activities and supporting efforts to harden existing applications. Working closely with a mentor and experienced team members, the co-op will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise IT operations and application support within a structured, mission-driven environment. Seeking a qualified co-op candidate to support the ECAWS Applications/System Administration team between June - December 2026. Responsibilities Support day-to-day operations and maintenance of enterprise applications Assist in streamlining operational workflows through documentation and process improvements Contribute to application hardening and security-focused initiatives Assist with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution Work under the guidance of a mentor to learn application and system administration best practices Document procedures and support knowledge-sharing efforts within the team Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Interest in application support, system administration, and IT operations Familiarity with operating systems, basic networking, or scripting concepts preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to learn, follow established processes, and work in a regulated IT environment Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team This co-op role provides practical experience supporting enterprise applications alongside other ECAWS co-op roles, offering exposure to how development, administration, and operations come together to support the Laboratory's mission. Compensation for 2026 Technical Co-Op: $24.50 - $31.00 per hour (based on year in school) Administrative Co-Op: $21.50 - $25.00 per hour (based on year in school) Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
