Sunday - Thursday, NOC Shift

Pay Range: $24.84 - $26.00

Summary:

This position is responsible for training and leading caregivers to provide residents with personal assistance, daily care, and related services to enhance their independence and quality of life, in line with the company's mission and values.

Essential Functions:

Caregiver Lead:

  • Guide Caregivers in the performance of their duties.
  • Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident's care plan. This includes, but is not limited to, eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties, including, but not limited to, laundry, taking out the trash, making the bed, pet care, meal prep, and meal deliveries.
  • Follows proper infection control procedures.
  • Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Monitor and record the vital signs of residents.
  • Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Administer medication to residents along with their daily treatments and resident care responsibilities as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy, procedures, and Title 22 Regulations. *Strictly follows all medication protocols, including but not limited to maintaining and documenting a current accounting of all residents' medications, tracking all medication changes and/or refills, verifying medication is ingested or applied as directed, reporting any adverse reactions, documenting all instances where prescribed medication is not administered, including reason(s) for refusal, and notifying supervisor.
  • Escort residents to doctor appointments and activities if needed.
  • Use mechanical devices (i.e., Hoyer Lift, SaraLift) to assist residents when available
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* High School diploma or GED

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 6-12 months related experience
Nonessential:
* 6-12 months long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse
* 6-12 months current experience and/or training as a caregiver

Working conditions:
Essential:
* Must be able to lift or carry items: * Frequently: 26-50 pounds * Constantly: 11-25 pounds
