Description

Markon is seeking a Finance Resources Generalist to perform routine to moderately complex financial and accounting activities in support of Sponsor operations. This role supports financial processing, reconciliation, customer service, and financial systems while ensuring compliance with federal and Sponsor financial policies.



Responsibilities

    Perform routine to moderately complex financial processing and analysis supporting Sponsor services and programs.
  • Prepare accountings for certification for vendor payments, debt collection, payroll and benefits, and Working Capital Fund activities.
  • Monitor and track funding streams, including incoming and outgoing funds.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, financial systems, and statements, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Establish, review, and revalidate commitments and obligations, de-obligating funds when appropriate.
  • Post and maintain financial data in Sponsor financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Process travel and miscellaneous reimbursements in accordance with policy.
  • Provide financial and technical guidance to customers on routine accounting, payment, and entitlement matters.
  • Support financial systems, including user assistance, ad hoc reporting, and coordination with system developers.
  • Assist with development of financial procedures, documentation, and training materials.


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in financial records processing and financial records management.

  • Associate's Degree in finance, business administration, or a closely related field.

    Substitution Option:

  • An additional 2 years of equivalent relevant experience (total of 4 years) may be substituted for the education requirement.

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to learn and apply Sponsor financial regulations, policies, and systems.
  • Experience ensuring data integrity and quality assurance.
  • Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.


Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
